MH Modules announces retirement of longstanding employee

MH Modules employee nr 1, Tore Andersson, has decided to retire, after a total of 29years with us.

With his product knowledge, Tore has been the ultimate go to guy when it comes to problem solving, choice of materials and know-how.
Amongst our partners, there is probably no one that hasn’t been in contact with him during a project.
We got one last chance to sit down and talk to him about his life and career.

-So, Tore, tell us how it all started!
-Well, I completed my studies at Pauli in Malmö, I won’t tell you what year, it was a long time ago!
And after 1 year of military service, I started working for Lundholms Verkstad in Borrby, as an engineer/draughtsman. It was just me and another engineer. We used drawing boards back then!
I worked there for 3 years. After that I started working for Transportteknik (Logan) in Ystad. But I wasn’t there for very long neither. I only stayed for 15 years..

-But how and when did you end up at MH Modules?
During the financial crisis in the early 90s, almost everyone got laid off. My contract had been postponed 1 year because Logan needed me to finish a big project to Australia.
4 persons that previously worked for Logan (Ole Böttern, Leif Tufvesson, Jan-Erik Borén, Jan Holmström, Ed. note), founded MH Modules in 1994,and they needed an engineer. I was asked to come work for them. So, I didn’t even have the chance to be unemployed!

-Ah, you were headhunted!
-In a way, yes! I was good friends with Leif, and he really wanted to have me as a colleague again. I started here in 1995, officially 1 year after the company was founded. So I am employe nr 1. It was me and the four owners!
We were located in Ystad in the start, and the following year this facility was obtained, and we’ve been in Ingelstorp ever since.

-Have you had the chance to think about what you are going to miss yet?
-Not yet.. A workshop filled with machines! And of course, all colleagues. It’s going to be a big change. But it will all work out.

-And what are you going to do next Tuesday?
-As little as possible! I’m going to have a sleep in!

With a heartfelt thank you for all our years together, we are wishing you all the joy and many years with as many sleep ins as you want. You have surely deserved it!
